CONSULTANT AND FACILITATOR

Charntay Poko’s (Te Arawa, Arorangi - Cook Islands) prodigious playmaking and kicking game has seen her simultaneously represent her province in 13-and-15-a-side games. Poko was named in the Warriors’ NRLW inaugural squad in 2018, but she was ruled out of the campaign after it was revealed that she had two broken tibias- stress fractures that had developed into full breaks.

Ever resilient, she rehabbed and recovered in time for the 2019 club season, flying from Christchurch to Auckland every week to play for Richmond Roses. Poko kicked four goals and produced a try-assist on Test debut in the Kiwi Fern’s defeat of Fetu Sāmoa and was one of the standouts of the NRLW premiership, nominated for the Dally M Women’s Player of the Year.

Poko is an experienced youth worker and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at her Premier Women’s team, where she leads the development of systems and processes of accountability, team development, and Tuakana-Teina mentoring.
